Picked this up at the local gun store tonight. I had a new marlin 336 but I was not happy with the cross bolt safety, the action was sloppy and it just felt like a crappy rifle with the beach wood so I wanted to trade it for an older pre safety marlin 336. I was hoping to find one from the 70's when I fount this one. It was produced in 1952, the sixth year of production. Beautiful wood, the blueing is great, the barrel just like new and the action and trigger are perfectly worn in. Sitting on top of it is a fixed 3x leupold that my grandfather bought in 1953 when he got out of korea and it was his first scope. Really excited by my find so I thought I would share.
