sigma vs. m&p trigger

i purchased a s&w sigma 9mm (sw9ve) about a month ago. i like the ergonomics as it fits my hand very well. i've put 300 round through it and i just dont like how long the trigger pull is. the trigger is very heavy but i dont mind that as much as i mind how far you actually have to pull the trigger to get the gun to fire. is the s&w m&p 9mm and .40 the same way? i see alot of good reviews on the m&p and planned on getting one for my next handgun but i dont want to if the trigger is similar to the sigma series. looking for input from anyone who has fired both. thanks in advance

Re: sigma vs. m&p trigger

I own a s&w m&p 40 compact, but unfortunately I have never fired a sigma. I have not found the trigger pull to be long, but that's all relative. I find my kel-tec pf-9 and my old kahr-p40 to be a longer trigger pull...but that could all be in my head.

Re: sigma vs. m&p trigger

i have both - i think m & p is slightly better.

why dont you check into getting a trigger job done? these are super easy to do and are vastly improved!!

Re: sigma vs. m&p trigger

thanks for the replys. i was considering a trigger job. that would probably void the warranty though, right?

Sounds like you may be on your own if there's problems with the striker.
