Rear Shock

Howdy all,

Recently acquired a 750w which I am working up for track/race work in Oz.

I was crawling around underneath it over the last weekend and notice a drop of oil on the bottom of the rear shock linkage....something tells me its the damping oil.

Is there an easy replacement for the OEM's on this model....I'm not exactly a front running on the track so not looking for something made from Unobtanium, just functional.

Cheers

Re: Rear Shock

Late model GSXR1000 (2006-7) rears drop right in (and are pretty cheap here in the states anyways).

Not too sure about replacement, but if it's only leaking it might be cheaper to get them serviced and set up to your weight. I've had my dirtbike forks and rear shock serviced by krooztune in bayswater and they did an amazing job

Re: Rear Shock

That worked well.

Old shock off, replacement Gixxer 1000 shock installed inside an hour....or two.

thanks for the advice.

Just put a 2007 GSXR1000 Rear shock on my 93 GSXR750w.. Perfect fit. 1/2 hour to install. Now i have high and low speed compression settings.
