1100W Carb Diagram?

Bike is running like there is a bad air leak. not sure that I have all the hoses hooked up properly.

Is there a diagram anywhere that can assist?

The upper 2 hoses on the carbs appear to go to vent.

Lower 2 are obviously fuel.

Running a pingle so the carb boot vacuum line is plugged.

The service manual doesn't help? Do you have a copy of the service manual?

Re: 1100W Carb Diagram?

Damn. Apparently I can't edit my posts?

Anyway, the carb diagram in my manual shows a pair of 'diaphragm chamber air cleaner hoses' that attach to tee fittings between the #1/#2 and #3/#4 carbs near the top of the bodies, just under the edge of the cap. These two hoses meet up in the center to another tee fitting and one hose goes up from there. The diagram doesn't show where this hose attaches. If you are working off US carb diagrams you won't find these hoses, they are not on either of the US models (49 state or Kali). It looks like it might be a pressure sensor line that connects the chamber above the slide to the airbox.

Where do the float bowl vent lines go to?

Re: 1100W Carb Diagram?

Float bowl drain lines go to the back of the motor and down on the RH side along with the coolant reservoir overflow and battery vent. The other 2 carb vent lines that exit the carb above the fuel inlets go to the airbox. The diaphragm chamber air cleaner hose runs to a secondary air filter mounted by the valve cover vent on top of the motor (Suzuki p/n 13800-17E00). You will find it on the parts diagrams under the air cleaner (listed as air cleaner 2, item 18 here: Diaphragm Cleaner).

Re: 1100W Carb Diagram?

Thank you for the replies guys!

I believe I am running the large ROW carbs rather than the USA carbs.

I have the following:

Lower T-connectors (connected to fuel)
Upper T-connectors behind the brass carb connector and same size as fuel (venting)
Larger upper T-Connectors (venting)
Single vaccuum line (plugged)
Small caps on carbs (plugged)

The bike was running great with a set of flatslides on it but now is backfiring quite bad and won't rev at all past 5k.

It certainly seems more like a setup issue (missing hose) or air leak than anything else.

I am running without an air box as I could not find one and not sure if it will fit in the 750 frame which I KNOW is not the best setup but is what I have to work with right now.

I think my next course of action will be to give the carbs another clean and confirm I do not have any air leaks at the boots or elsewhere.

I also do not have a service manual. I cannot see it providing much more information than I have and could not find one online short of tossing another $40 at the problem.
