WC hard parts
Hello to all,
Although I have zipped through the forums many times in the past, looking for any bit of advise I could get, I am now a registered member and happy to be so.
For my bike history, coming off MX bikes in the early 80s onto my first street bike was a
Honda CM125. Living in England at the time..(1983) they had a graduated licensing system that only allowed me a 125 cc for 1st 12 months. I already had a Canadian motorcycle license but hadnt had it long enough to skip the program . After that long year, I traded up many times in the next year or so. Starting with a KH350 2 stroke triple then an
a/c RD400 then l/c 350. And then the 4 strokes bug got me.
Z650, Z900, Z1000 ... and then the most gorgeous thing on 2 wheels .. a GS1000SZ Katana.
It was pretty heavily modified in the engine department all on stock everything else...

Since then I've had a Kat11, couple GS11s.. a Wes Cooley GS1000 and then the gixxers.
First was an 86 750RR.. which I got on trade for a RZ500 that i hated. Wow. What a beast. Put all those litre bikes to shame..
Now... I'm on my third WC 1100.
I love them. However... my passion always lay with the
"Streetfighter" platform. Add that to a badly beaten and abused body , the decision to strip this one came easy.
So.. on with the present problems!!
Nobody makes any aftermarket goodies for WCs. Present one is a 97.
So before hitting any fab shops. Im wondering about some retro-fit items..
Rearsets... any other bike match up? (Had a set of Yosh ones and GAVE them away!!)
Triple clamps? ..however with this I'm thinking custom cuz I have a pair of Ohlins usd's from an RSVR.
Radiator... anyone know of custom aluminum one's
And also seem to be having a hard time looking for engine builders that do hot rod big bores and head work for these old girls.. Used to be one on every corner.
