BST36ss slingshot carb question

Hi,

Just would like to confirm one thing and it is needed to look at the attached image to understand what I am talking about.

ET and PJ with side holes will only be affected by the MAJ & PAJ if are not #0 (blocked).

If MAJ and PAJ are #0 no air will flow through their circuits and makes no difference if ET and PJ have side holes or not.

Is that correct?

Also what ET is leaner? o-8 or p-0?

think of the air jets (on these particular carbs at least) as a way to fine-tune the motor, the larger those jets are the more air flows through the circuit and "air-ates" the mixture thus creating a well emulsified, lean mixture. blocking them would essentially richen the circuits. pilot jets with or without bleed holes won't make a difference on these slingshot carbs. the holes on the side of the ET emulsify the fuel as the slide needle is raised but won't make a difference if the air jets are blocked. the needle orifice may be a different diameter between different sizes of the same series. O-8 ET is leaner than P-0 but not by much
