Carburetor issues

Good afternoon. I have a 1992 GSXR750 that has stumped me. Bike was sitting for more than a year. Cleaned the carbs. Tank, replaced the needles. It has a Dyno Jet kit. I have removed all emulsion tubes and pilots inspected and cleaned. Slides are in perfect condition with no holes on diaphragms. Float bulbs are new. Bike runs on choke. As soon as I take the choke off it idles down and if I twist the throttle it just dies both with or without the choke. I did notice 2 holes that where drilled on the slides and I understand that it shouldnt matter. It has a K&N filter and a Yoshimura Carbon fiber slip-on. I am a certified Harley and Honda tech and must say this is the first bike to stop me in my tracks. Any pointers will be appreciated

Thinking out loud... but could it be fuel related? What you describe sounds like it could happen if it doesn't get enough fuel. Check that petcock and vacuum is working properly?

Exactly my thoughts. Tested the petcock it finctions normal. Vacuum is present and fuel gets to the carbs. If anything it feels like the pilot jets are clogged but they are not. I even disassebled the carbs 3 times. Feels like there is not enugh air getting in for a proper Stoichiometric mix. I even replaced the vacuum lines. Only other thing I can think of is the air screws being to far in to allow proper air flow. I have them at 2.5 turns from complete closing like the manual suggest for the standard setting.

If it's not getting enough air and bogging down when you give it throttle, could it be a vacuum leak in the carb intake boots? I'm sure you're familiar with the spray-starter-fluid-on-the-boots trick. Not foolproof though, I've had friends with leaking boots try that method without detecting rpm change.
