First Gen at Laguna Seca Tent

went to the SBK/MotoAmerica races this past weekend at Laguna Seca and saw this first gen in a tent with 70's, 80's and 90's vintage race bikes. does anyone know anything about it? it appears to be a more recent build.

That bike was built by Kent Riches at Airtech. Yosh bodywork, Ohlins superbike front end, Marchesini wheels, additional oil cooler in tail section.

I was there too! I was drooling over that tank. its hard to tell in the photos but the Yosh logo is stamped into the tank not just painted.

I haven't seen the bike up close but my guess would be that that would be Airtech's fiberglass copy of the Yoshimura Tornado tank.

The outfit that ran the booth is Iconic Motorbikes - located in Marina Del Rey. They recently opened the business just a few weeks ago.

Re: First Gen at Laguna Seca Tent

i figured it had something to do with airtech and that dutch would know something about it. thanks for the information dutch.

the tent had various racers available to talk and sign autographs. they were before my time, so i didn't recognize them, but it was a nice way to promote the vintage race bikes and racers.
