Re: UFC 100, July 11, 2009

thanks for making this thread.

Mir over Lesnar by a rear naked choke
GSP over Alves by TKO
Hendo over Bisping by 1st rd stunning KO
Thiago over Fitch by decision
Bonnar over Coleman by guillotine choke

I have HIGH expectations for this card, 99 was underwhelming. 98 was pretty damn good but 100 should blow it out of the water.

I would love to see Frank Mir knock Brock Lesnar out cold.
GSP 2nd round rear naked choke. (going to be a great fight!)
Henderson beats Bisping via ground & pound round 3.

Re: UFC 100, July 11, 2009

Lesnar is too powerful for Mir. Plus he eats, sleeps, breaths and shits training. Mir wont be able to count on a sub this time. He will have to use some of that punching power that he has and actually knock lesnar out if he wants to win....which he CAN do.

I'm HOPING that Hendo doesn't end Bisbing very quick, but instead drags his butt back and forth across the canvas the whole fight. I want Bisbing to look like Ken Shamrock the last time that Tito got a hold of him.

I like both GSP and Alves...and have NO idea how this one is going to go.

Excited to see the American Psycho again!

dont worry Dan Henderson has dragged out his last few (yawn) fights. I also completly agree with you about Lesnars size and strength. Brock will be smarter this time when it comes to Mirs subs.

It's a mistake to underestimate Mir's strength. UFC posted a video of him training a week or so ago and he looks fucking amazing. Brock is stronger but not by much. Mir has more experience, a higher fight IQ and is on par in terms of brute strength.

Re: UFC 100, July 11, 2009

lol, Mir's "on par" in terms of brute strength?

Lesnar is Optimus Prime with skin. Mir is a MUCH better fighter IMO, but Lesnar is seriously one of the most powerful human beings ever built.

I saw the weigh in pictures and its obvious that Mir hasn't taken this fight lightly. And anyone who has been around MMA long enough to know mir, knows that hes not scared of ANYONE.

Problem i see here is that along with Franks heavy hands, he also has a suspect jaw. He cant even begin to compete with Lesnar on the ground, so to win he is going to have to out box Lesnar which I feel he can do. Problem is, all lesnar has to land on frank is an index finger and franks gonna be sleepin.

I just noticed something. Mir fought the former most powerful man in the world one time before and submitted him by grabbing his foot...lol (Tank Abbot).

Either way, I'm excited as hell about this one. Matter of fact the ole 46" plasma of mine isnt going to be big enough to watch it on. I'm going to my buddies to watch it on his 100" HD projector!! I want to be IN the ocatagon this time.

Re: UFC 100, July 11, 2009

lol, bet. The ankle is the smallest joint on the body that can be manipulated in the ufc so he HAS to count on that to sub lesnar. If ANYTHING on mir matches the strength of Lesnar, its his lower body. If he can get Lesnar in an armbar, then he may have a chance. Then again, its a possibility that Lesnar just picks him up and splatters him all over the matt. I know I'm underestimating mir, but for some reason this fight reminds me of battle between a BullDozer vs. Bobcat.

Now now, lets not go off thinking that a 450pd bench press is weak. Yeah he doesn't bench press as much as say marc coleman, but his explosiveness/quickness makes him more powerful in my book.

Re: UFC 100, July 11, 2009

^^There's a locally owned sports bar in town thats the same way. If you want a seat, get there at least an hour and a half early. That way, you should have a table in time for the fights. And your usually pretty buzzed!
