Consuming Oil, should I be concerned?

Today I was working on my bike and while I had her up on the stands I noticed there was no oil showing in the window.

It took almost 1/3 quart of oil to get her back to normal.

My bike has 1063 miles on her (2013 gsxr 600) and I changed the oil @550 miles. So in the last 500 miles somehow shes lost 1/3 quart of oil.

I've checked her everywhere and found no signs of oil leaking and when I start her up I never see any smoke.

Should I take her in to the dealer?

May just be that it was on the stands..
Level across? Mine aren't.
Should always keep an eye on the oil anyway.

I thought it might be the stands but they keep the bike pretty level and after I filled her back up I took her off the stands and held her level and she read the same as on the stands.

Re: Consuming Oil, should I be concerned?

Did you change the filter as well????

If yes did you check the oil level after running the engine, say the next day????
A new oil filter takes a fair bit of oil to fill it on a change, plus the oil pick up. If the oil level is checked after filling and before starting it will always be higher than after running the engine. From memory the manuals cover this issue if you follow all the steps.
