Question cold start up??

I have an 08 750 with 5000 miles and the problem is when i started up in the morning, it usually takes longer to start. and when it finally starts, it hesitates for 2 seconds then idles normal. this only happens once a day. can someone help. The easiest thing to do is buy the injector cleaner. if its still happening i am going to take it to a shop.

I assume the spark plugs in the bike are the original ones since the bike only has 5000 miles on it. A clean, dry and correctly gapped spark plug is critical to getting a good cold start. I realize that you are probably not to the point in the maintenance schedule that recommends changing your plugs yet, but it's the only thing I can think of that would cause a once a day issue like you describe. If you are reasonably mechanically inclined, it's not a terribly difficult job. Suzuki designed the bike from the get-go to be easy to get at maintenance items like plugs / oil filter / air filter.

Unless you're using really shitty gas I doubt that it has much, if anything to do with the fuel system.

.

I know, I know, licence and registration.

Might as well do the air filter too while you've got the airbox off, unless it's really clean. When you have the plugs out, if they are the least bit black, this will cause the symptoms you describe.
