Re: cleaning tank

If the bike was sitting with an about empty tank, then you may have condensation in the gas. Heet removes moisture from gas.

I guess it's possible for the condensation to rust the inside of the tank. Don't really know.

My bike sat for over 3 months during the winter with no problems ... though I did put Stabil in it and filled it up before storage.

Is the tank rusty, or just old gas? Shouldn't have developed rust in just a few months. Just removed the tank, drain the old gas, rinse it out real good, dry it completely (air compressor), put it back on, add new gas.
