POS left me stranded (lights not working)
About 2 months or so ago my headlights weren't working, a quick search resulted in the starter switch, I flicked it a few times and boom, 200 or so times later no issues, until tonight when I had to get home in the dark, no lights. Thinking the flicking would do it again, of course NO LUCK!!
I took the entire assembly out quickly and saw the 4 contact points and the two on the switch, I thought maybe cleaning them would fix it, nope. if I press down on the 4 contacts that hit the switch part, they work.. what do I do, frustrated as hell I put a ziptie around it, just enough to get the lights to work but not too much to prevent the switch from engaging (I did it too tight the first time)
So I think I'm good but wait, the stupid little plastic piece that goes into the unit, between the two plastic housing (that holds the kill switch and everything) got lost!!!! ARGHGGRGRGGR So pissed, I cannot tell you, so now when I tightened it it will not get tight, that piece goes inside somewhere, it was black and was designed to tighten everything, I assume.
Does anyone know what I need? how do I fix this?? What exactly do I need? new switch? or am I soldering those 4 points onto a new piece ?
And is that plastic piece I lost called? This is gonna suck
