Question Tunning options?

I currently own a 01 gsxr 1000. I've been looking into tunning options and I'm caught in between the pc5 and the teka sfi tuner since can't flash ecu. All opinions welcome please.

My opinion is put back to stock and sell as a classic in four years.

I have to admit, the geometry and rider position is vastly advanced when you get K5 and newer.
The steering stem on a K5 is two inches closer than a K4. Makes a world of difference.
At some point you trade up for a far more advanced bike.

I've got the K7 and need to ride a 2015 or so, to see what differences there are.

Re: Tunning options?

The first question is what mods do you have. Unless you get a steal on a PC5 or Bazzaz, it's not really worth it to add additional complications and costs to a near-stock bike. You only gain a few horsepower, and getting a dyno tune or autotuner adds to the cost (because I don't like using random tunes that you cannot verify, since you don't have a wideband).

Re: Tunning options?

Back then the simple thing to do was a full quality exhaust, PC, and a professional tune.

Re: Tunning options?

We have a teka tuner at our shop, it works good, you can get it close.
