I doubt there will be anything different from 2011 models.

Probably will only be a face lift of the 3 year old bike you can buy now!

Re: 2012 gsxr 1000 ??

Off Topic a little...the latest internview with bike designer from bmw in AMCN reported that he think's motors are close to their development edge without going into ridiculously expensive materials. He said it was quite possible that we would begin seeing bmw bikes - didn't say which genre - with small turbo units as stock within a couple years....

Re: 2012 gsxr 1000

It's due for redesign. And the 600/750 just received a complete revamp after a 3 year cycle......so it stands to reason that the 1000 would do the same after a 3 year cycle. Especially since it needs to step up to the electronics packages the BMW and ZX10 now come with.

Speaking of the BMW, I cant believe how fair the pricing is on it.

Re: 2012 gsxr 1000

It will be based off the 09-11 models but will have an electronics package and a small, low boost turbo to win the horsepower war. They also dropped the Blue and White color scheme for some odd reason.

And it will do all of the weird things on that list the S1000RR supposedly does at random.

Re: 2012 gsxr 1000

Honestly nobody will know for quite a few months what the 2012 1000 might bring to the table. My guess is that after 3 years of the same bike it won't be the same one with some new color options. Electronic driving leashes seem to be whats hot right now. ABS, TRC, different drive modes, (we have those), and a little less weight and a bit more power. My friends four year old R6 almost scares me as much as my 2011 GSXR 1000.

Re: 2012 gsxr 1000

I hope they don't put all that traction control bs on it, thats what your rt hand is for but you know it will have it.

Also, Suzuki needs to up the anti not only against the BMW and Kawi, but also this bike too:http://www.mvagusta.it/en/f4/f4rr
