Please allow me to (re)introduce myself.....

Despite regularly visiting this site over the past ten or so years, I evidently haven't provided my rider's bio, so here goes....

In 1992 I bought an '87 CBR600F (Hurricane). 5 months later I sold it to buy a used '89 750 Slingshot and never looked back. In the time since then, I have owed 4 more GSX-Rs ('91 750, '99 SRAD 600, '00 750, L1 750 and now a K6 1000). I have logged over 100,000 miles on each of the last 3 before my current ride. In the year I've had my 1k, I've added 31,000 miles to the 11,000 the previous owner warned it up with. I moved to Los Angeles 27 years ago from Michigan, so I ride every day of the year, rain or shine. I do all my own work and in 27 yrs i have seen just about everything that can happen to these beloved machines, but wouldn't be here if I didn't humbly believe there's still more for me to learn. I do own a car btw, a Saab 9-3, which runs great if I remember correctly. It mostly collects a lot of dust in the garage. I do track days, canyons, commute, and travel/tour. I am a rider's rider. Viva SUZI!! \m/

Here are pics of every bike I've owned except my first, (Because who wants to see a '87 Honda Hurricane? Probably somebody on a Honda site!?) and my most recent, a K6 1000, not shown due to photo limit, so I'll show it in the next.

Sounds like you have more miles under your belt than 10 Kenworths. My bs meter goes off the chart.

Those may very well be your bikes but you are completely full of shit.

What is probably difficult for you to get your head around is what it must be like living in a part of the world that has sunny, balmy weather nearly every day of the year, and more miles of twisty mountain canyons and smooth flowing coastline highways
than an avid rider will ever get to explore in a single lifetime.
I grew up in Michigan, and when I learned to ride on my 87 Honda Hurricane in the autumn of 89 I learned very quickly how unfortunate the outcome can be when trying to keep both tires on the pavement, while making every effort NOT to "le skid" on "la glace". My point is that even when the rare Los Angeles night sees temps dipping into the single digits Celsius, I'm still out riding, every day. My family and friends in Michigan scoff at the thought of me complaining about 40 deg F being cold (but that's because they forget that the wind chill factor @ 90mph feels closer to 0 deg F...but I digress)! I dont care what the weather is doing to be honest. I'm riding in it. Give me a decent rainsiit like my Rev'it, a set of Michelin Road 4's or 5's and a destination and I dont care if its blowing horizontal freezing rain, i am loving it. Snow covered roads are a different story however, same goes when roads double as hockey rinks - I have my limits, but that's part of why I moved to sportbike paradise on Earth! SoCal!!
My point is that there are some incredible cities around the world worth visiting, and Montreal is way up on my list. Take motorcycles out of the equation and it's in my top 3 for the entire western hemisphere, no joke! I LOVE Montreal, definitely #1 Canadian city imho. So if you ever move to a place like LA (as if) you too will rack up 30k miles per year without even trying, just like me. In the meantime, enjoy the 8 or 9 days per year where road and weather conditions are ideal, and dont get caught hating on those of us who love sport bikes enough to make a bigger commitment to enjoying them.

After living in FL for over 10 years of my life and watching countless youtube videos of those SoCal roads, I definitely feel like you Cali boys have it made. Except maybe for that whole emissions thing.

Anyway...don't worry about @le skid . He spends most of his time racking up miles in his Cadillac. He's part of the furniture around here, you'll get used to him.
