Choke cable problem

changing the plugs and checking out whats wrong w/ choke cable on my 1997 GSX-R 600. Choke cable wasn't connected to anything down by carbs. Where should it be connected to? Also, when i engage the choke, the cable at the carb end isn't moving at all.

sounds like a snapped cable.
i replaced mine, pretty simple.
if you take the tank off and the airbox, you should be able to see the choke cable by the carbs on the right hand side as you sit on it, i remember it being quite tight to get too, lost some skin doing mine.
the engine end of the cable latches on to a slider the runs along the back of the carbs, the slider should be movable by hand, and you should be able to see where the cable hooks on to the slider. ever fiddle with pushbike brakes - its abit like that.
get a new cable, its pretty self explanitory on how to fit, but note you'll need to adjust it using the screw adjusters at the clip on end.
