Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I settled with the insurance company for my stolen bike. I got $7300 for it. This week I will be putting a down payment on a red and black 06' 750! The dealer told me it should be in in January. This one is going to have an alarm and other security features to help keep it from wandering off on me.

Re: Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!

nice nice, i went through the same time shat last april...I bought a brand new 04 1k last august. had it for 11 days before it got stolen. but insurance paid pretty good and the extra theft insurance I was suckered into buying paid it self off and gave me a full 5 grand. so with those two put together, i actually made about 2500 off all the shit I had to go through...

Re: Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!

congrats. but regardless of how much security you put on it, if someone wants it they will get it. i hope none of us have to experience a stolen bike.

Re: Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys! I am really excited, as I have been wanting a 750 for a long time. I still hope that my bike turns up, as i would like to get some of my aftermarket parts off of it.

congrats bro

They offered me some shit like $4900 the first time around. I spent the whole day arguing wtih them over what the bike was worth, and what the aftermarket parts were worth. I gave them a high price that I would accept ($8500) , which was higher than what it was probably worth, and they slowly worked towards that price. They made me a final offer of 6800 so I acted like I was willing to settle $7300 instead of $8500 and they gave it to me. So, in the end I got what I actually wanted for the bike.
