Re: Anybody watching Trading Spouses?
Don't you think that when someone so "devout" reacts so strongly (as she did) to a test of faith, that it only shows how weak their belief system really is? That woman (I use the term loosely) has mega-issues! Me and my g/f were sitting there speachless while watching the teaser for next week. Should be quite a spectacle.
that shit was funny as hell to watch. when she starts going off. she looks stright like the devil. and you can see that she treats her body like a temple. what a mess. if i was the other mom and those women kept giving me drity looks i would have said if you look at me one more time, i will have to spawn of saten unleashed on you. just to see the look on their face.
I never watched the show before this, but just happened to be flipping through the channels and caught it. Friggin' awesome. Shacking up a hardcore Christian with a family of PAGANS!! That 'Christian gang-up' was downright offensive....all those ladies bashing on the non-christian woman. Pathetic.
This episode related so much to the Da Vinci code!!!! The book is awesome. It provides insight into paganism (it was a pagan ceremony that was happening during the Trading Spouses episode), the pentacle/aka 'symbol of satan' (which also happens to be a pagan symbol, not to mention it's the star of David and is tied to Venus (the planet and also the goddess of love), Christian persecution of pagans (the term 'villain' actually comes from 'villager'; paganism was practiced more so in rural areas once the church successfully smeared it), and the modern conception of 'witches' (FYI- a pointy 'witch' hat was a pagan symbol of wisdom well before the idea of witches ever existed)
Christianity couldn't completely smear away paganism when it boomed in Europe, so it actually adopted a lot of its traditions! The two “high holy days” in Christianity are Christmas and Easter. Christmas happens to fall very close (usually just a day or two away) from the Winter Solstice. In Celtic terms, Yule. (“Yule tide carol...” Coincidence? I think not.) Easter falls in the same time as Ostara, which is the celebration of the Spring Equinox, which happens to be a celebration of rebirth. (Coincidence again? Nope.)
Its pretty pathetic how closed minded and afraid she is and how afraid she becomes when removed from her little bible comfort zone.
I also felt that the friends of the thumper were completely rude and out of line with their holier than thou line of questioning. It is funny that these people are offended, not that she is a pagan but that she isn't a christian.
Old lard ass should at least glue a white chicklet in that big old gap in her grille.
You watch that shit? Ok, hand it over...MAN CARD! RIGHT NOW!!!
I was glad other people replied cause I thought it would be just Mark and I that watched it. I was watching the tube with the wife and it came on and we saw the previews so we watched. The shit was unbelievable.
