front end straps
I'm looking at getting some straps for my bike. a friend with an 03 1k has some and he said he had to get an adaptor for them because of the front brakes on the 2003 gsxr 1000. I have a 2001 gsxr 600, do I need the adaptors too??

Nope. I had a 2002 750 and didn't need adapters. As long as your brake caliper bolts point out, not towards the bike, you are fine.

Re: front end straps
You need a special bracket if you have radial mount calipers,if not,the just bolt right up

The brakes on his 600 are different from the 05 1000. The bracket would do no good.

Re: front end straps
Most tech inspections won't allow you to have a ratchet style strap, and definately won't allow hooks. The straps must be bolted on. You won't need an adaptor bracket on your 600. Brocks Performance has straps for $22.
