Just so you can understand where I'm coming from, I bought a brand new GSXR750 in 94 and proceeded to mod the crap out of it and compared to the bike I have now, it was a piece of shit. I can appreciate you guys liking the older bikes, that's your perogative.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but the .4 horsepower advantage does not come close to making up for the 128 pound weight disadvantage. Why do you guys insist on comparing apples with oranges? There is a reason they don't make an 1100 anymore and I didn't bother to post the 1K numbers for two reasons: I don't own a 1k and we all know a stock 1K would hand that 1100 it's ass.

I dont see anywhere on this forum that says its exclusively for newer machines, Just Tech forums, MODS & HOW to's. If you've got no advice why bother posting?
By the way the only reason the newer gixxer makes the same as an 1100 is its in a higher state of tune, ask the boys on the drag strip which motor they would rather have. The old addage there is no substitute for cubes still stands!
