tyres

ok, so my question is, i have new tyres. they have that stuff on them that makes them slightly slick. what's the best way to get that crap off? i mean, should i just ride conservative? will just normal riding take that off? or, should i go apenuts, and do a huge burnout? what what what is a good technique?

Re: tyres

Just ride normally, but use some caution when making turns, the "slick" stuff will wear off quickly...usually in about 50 miles of street riding, or depending on the track, 1 to 3 laps...

Re: tyres

+1 on what Hammer said

DON'T do a burnout - you'll only hit the middle of the tire (which is the easiest part to get off - just ride), leave the sides slick and square off the tire...
