If you are thinking of a turbo call Richard at RCC . Smart guy that knows his stuff . I think his Busa is around 545hp and going to be 640 next year ...

Re: My dyno chart at 7 psi ( 2001 gixxer 1000)

i have been so busy working , will post pics later.
i use a gt28r bb turbo, tial external wastegate, tial blow off, aluminum air box/built in intercooler with the heat exchanger in the trunk , 4 extra injectors , 400hp fuel pump, split second fuel controller, ceramic coated s/s header with 2.5 in s/s exhaust with a carbon can.
it is a little overkill for 8psi , but i was planning on upgrading engine in the winter.

badass , pm sent.
my turbo is good for 400hp , my engine is not. not sure if a built engine would take that for very long.

The kit on the 01 is not setup for 400hp, the fuel system that comes in the kits is rated for over 400hp, the turbo is rated at 350 hp. You will need a lot of internal engine work for 300hp in a gixxer 1000. Even then, not sure what the cases will take. The kit on the 01 is also liq/air intercooled very advanced kit. But is priced equally with the Velocity stage 2 with water injection and ball bearing turbo.

What kind of fmu are you using and how is your fuel pump set up? Did you just gut the stock pump and run an external fuel pump and line to the base of it? Any pics would be much appreciated.

You will have to ask Richard (rccturbos) he will actually sell you the components individually.

Well I already have a Cartech FMU and fuel pump from a Talon I'm going to run. I just wanted to see how you had it plumbed into your gas tank, that's all. Also, where is your oil cooler at?

Re: My dyno chart at 7 psi ( 2001 gixxer 1000)

Question to everyone running a turbo... how hard do they kick when they engage, do they still engage at like 3-3500 (similar to a car turbo?). Also, how hard is it to keep the front end planted to the pavement in everyday riding? I have the mods listed below and my front end seems to be coming up enough as it is, not that i truely mind, i just can't imagine having a turbo on a bike! What about superchargers for bikes, do they exist?

Thanks all

Most turbo bikes won't have the gearing you have so they keep the front down (well, wheelie less than with your gearing ).
