What are some simple and cheap engine mods, that will boost my power?

I have a full Yosh system and has been rejetted, but as far as I know that is all that has been done so far........

I'm thinkin another 10 -15 hp would do me for now..

timing advancer, re-gear, 48 state cams thats all pretty cheap and basic

10-15 extra alot man you might have to fork out some cash for that where do you need the more power at? on top end from stand still?

More Mid & Top End, think Yosh Cams, Air Box Mod, for Carbs i think you can get something called TFI but I am not sure if this will work with Carbs. The TFI is like a Power Commander. Also try to get the 520 Chain Conversion Kit which beleive it or not helps you. For the 98 the timing advancer is a 2 degree but for your year I am not sure you would have to find out, but defantely look into it. well airbox mod good for couple mph and couple hp but hard to tune you. you droping -1 in front is not gonna help top-end. pipe exhuast a good tuner should have you in the right direction after that either trade get a 1000 and no need to worry about more power for a little while

I've got a full racing Yoshimura exhaust system on it now!
And, I'm not wanting more top speed.... Just more mid and top end power, big diff. [img]graemlins/thumbup.gif[/img]

That's alot of power to be asking for.

Just save a few bucks this winter, sell your bike next spring and buy the 03Gixx 1000.. I might [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

I'm in the same boat as you bro. I want more power out of my 98 750 but sooner or later I'm going *Liter*, you just can't avoid it.

well as far as power man all i can say is that you can get some good head work done to get more power outta it. There is some other not so safe ways of doing it, such as the decking the head or removing a layer from the gasket but freak will tell you not advisable any other things will involve $$$ [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img]
oh yeah you could purchase adjustable cam sprockets get them degreed to where you want the power to come on as well

either convert to FI and tune it out with a PC2, or for the buck... try a +2 or +4 ignition advancer. Then see if Nology will make wires for your spark plugs. I'm going to see if they'll do some for me. I'm talking guaranteed high ass spark for combustion processes! No stupid boxes from MSD (Must Suck Development), or Accel, or whatever. I'd say inline coil amps maybe at most, but they're small anyhow. Just think to yourself...logically, my bike uses air, fuel, and electricity. Where can I improve on these three things, and what could complement what as a mod?
