Can you feel your knee drag?

I just got some new boots and apparently I've scraped up the sliders without ever feeling my toes drag I keep the balls of my feet on the pegs where you're supposed to so I was pretty surprised to notice the scraped up toe sliders. I've checked before and after the past few spirited ones over the mountains; I've scraped em up a bit more each time, but never felt anything over the vibration of the bike.

So that begs the question, I got my suit used and the knee pucks are already scraped up a bit... no way of knowing by looking but would I have felt it if my knee touched down?

Well, it's not supposed to be like a kickstand holing up the bike, should be no weight to the contact.

True I was just thinking maybe I can't feel my knees dragging if I can't feel my toes dragging.

Paint your pucks a different color. That way you'll know if they touch?

My rearsets are high enough that I rarely drag toe, so I'm not sure. But you'll know if you're dragging your knee.

Re: Can you feel your knee drag?

I can definitely feel it. And hear the scraping at times. Both the knee pads and toes. I think

Re: Can you feel your knee drag?

My toes don't drag and I can hear my knee drag when it does. That is street riding btw so I'm not going balls out.

Brilliant! I will

After I noticed the first scrapes I made it a point to focus on my foot positioning on the pegs when I'm getting leaned over a good bit and still didn't notice the other times. Maybe I am retarded

Re: Can you feel your knee drag?

I am talking street riding too, didn't think I was hitting it hard enough to drag toes. I definitely don't go balls to the wall but I go at a spirited pace on the forest/canyon back roads. Enough to get a ticket but not suspended

Re: Can you feel your knee drag?

If you are dragging toes you are doing something wrong. Period.

Your toes should not be hitting the ground. I did it once back when I first started riding track, I have since improved my BP significantly and I have never done it before. You will hear and feel your knees or toes dragging on the ground.

I won't even talk about the fact that you are riding that hard on the street, I'll leave that for the vultures.

Fix what you are doing wrong and you will stop dragging your toes. Do you have aftermarket rear sets?

And, don't tell me you are not doing anything wrong. I bet your feet are not in the position you think they are.

I'm really not riding that hard, like I said... enough to get a speeding ticket but that's about it but I will try to bring my feet up higher. The boots are a bit too big so that probably has something to do with it too. Its not like all out dragging just a few scrapes. Stock rearsets.

Re: Can you feel your knee drag?

That looks more like you kicked something more than you were dragging toes.

And chicken strips dont mean shit, especially on the rear tire.

AND WASH THAT FUCKING BIKE!!!!!!!!!!

That little bit you wont feel. like mentioned... you sure you did not kick something? You will definatly feel when your toes slide.
