K3 600 has no power....

I've searched around and have checked some things but I can't figure it out.

I went to start my bike the other day after a few weeks of being parked in the garage. For Christmas I got som fp racing levers from the mummy and wanted to go for a spin.

I turned the bike on and everything came on like usual but when I hit the start button there was a noise and everything turned off.

So now I have no power at all. I put a battery tender on thinking dead battery, checked main fuse and replased all the other fuses because they looked bad, but still nothing!!

The only sign of life I get is when I pull the key out the rpm needle cycles like when you first start it...

Any ideas? I've been poking around and can't find a fix that works

Do you know how old the battery is? At some point it won't even be able to charge up enough to start the bike no matter how long you have it on the tender - and it usually happens after the bike has been sitting for a while, especially if it's cold.

I got the battery last spring early summer. It wasn't on a charger before that and let it sit with it overnight. It was a battery from AutoZone that you add the acid yourself. Could it be bad already?


Edit: had the battery checked, and yup it was bad.

i believe the number is a Br9 for the 600

i had the same poroblem if you havent fixed it already it was the green connector on the left side fairing had melted on the red wire so i cut it and soldered it now it runs like normal
