Radial master cylinder upgrade

Bike is a 96 750, stock 6 pot calipers, braided lines. What I have gathered from my search on here is i need a brembo mc from a 06/07 600/750 and a adapter to make it work with my lines. Is this right? Still not sure what size mc this is though? 18x19, 19x20? Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Re: Radial master cylinder upgrade

This probably won't help but our Glenn has a fireblade radial on his k4 1000. Uses the blade bangobolt And has a line to each caliper from the master cylinder as opposed to cylinder to caliper to caliper.

Useing Ducati 1098 Brembo with 4 pots EBC pads and braided lines, stops like a fly hitting the windshield of your car!

I used a 04 R1 M/C, it is a Brembo. I think the years you mentioned for Suzuki were Nissin's.

How much of a improvement did this make?

Seems like a lot of fellas are running the 06-07 nissin mc, anyone have any feedback on it?

Re: Radial master cylinder upgrade

GSXRs have never come with OEM Brembo master cylinders. R6/R1's have come with OEM Brembo master cylinders. They are a lower spec design and also the R6/R1 have relatively smaller pistons in the calipers (30mm/27mm). So the bore of the master cylinder is probably not a good fit for 6 pot calipers.

I would shoot for 19x20 Brembo master cylinder.

I should of been more specific, I did the R1 M/C, with 03 GSXR 750 forks (which drop into 99 SRAD triple trees), with 03 calipers (4 pots). This setup is wonderfully simple, cheap and effective. I'd get rid of your 6 pots.

I did the above on my 96 srad except I also used the R6 mono like calipers. worked a treat, took a few rides to get use to the extra power of the front brakes.

Re: Radial master cylinder upgrade

If the money is not a problem, go with the Brembo RCS that Motomummy sells!

His kit has a fluid cup and everything needed!

Re: Radial master cylinder upgrade

I would/did the whole front end swap with the r6 mono blocks and m/c. They work really well.
