PM Brakes and wheels
Hey guys I have the opportunity to buy a bike that is running PM brakes and Wheels as well as a few other goodies.
I'm considering using them on my track bike. I've searched here about the wheels and see they are much lighter then what I'm currently running. So although I'm really not a fan of the looks of them, I may switch. But what about the brakes, are they better then the stock setup I'm currently running?
The next question is what are these things worth? Again, im not selling them, I'm buying them. If I buy them and decide at a later date to sell them, I'll post in the appropriate section.

I've seen the wheels sell for $250 to $650 for a set with all the correct hardware. The brakes though, I am not real sure, I would guess around $200 for the rotors and maybe $400 for the calipers, maybe more with the quick release hardware that is shown in your picture.

Thank you, How well do they work? Are they a performance upgrade or just something cool to have.

Actually, I just looked at my old ebay auction and my PM rotors sold for $305. I can't remember what I paid for my calipers but mine a different than yours anyway. I think I paid around $600 or $700 for the set though.
Motorcycle: you know the kind. the ones with wheels. I don't care how many wheels. 1 will do.

rotors look like 320mm and fully floating. Quick change goodies too. Lockhart Philips bikes used them way back when. I have a full set on my show bike. I'm sure they are better than what was available back in the day but I wouldn't know because I never rode em either. Lol

They were a significant performance advantage in their day. The wheels are quite a bit better than what you show in the photo of your bike. There were a few bikes that ran these parts and won championships, so I don't know why they get a cold reception around here.

Heres the bike....I guess I'll save it.. I appreciate the fact that the wheels are lighter, but I really don't care for the looks of them. Wish they were a simple five spoke or something.

The thing about the PM wheels that made them different than other lightweight wheels in that era was that they had a lower MOI, so they helped the bake accelerate faster. They also helped it stop a little quicker from high speeds.
A few Canadians in that bunch from 1990 - Reuben McMurter, Miguel DuHamel. Miguel was on the Suzuki.... nice! Another name that came up, former Suzuki rider Dale Quarterley.

I had started a previous PM thread, also mentioning the thought of a "sticky". A sticky would definitely be a fine idea... maybe something along the lines of a graph with weights, sizes, accessories/parts, pictures, etc.
