I work with CATIA V5R19.
I learned everything myself it's not my job.
I started 3 years ago, it takes a lot of work and time ...
I have not finished yet, it remains the engine end. then the fairing.
Never used that program, is it a 3D CAD style modeling?
Catia is a software cad solidworks but as more powerful. 2 belong to dassault industries. (french technology ...)
I advanced a little these days, I assembled a ramp of 4 carburetor to version 41 gsxr tmr.
I have a mount for my 1100 is more beautiful and rare that ramp rcf.
I forgot my new toy, it will take me a lot in the coming months ...

F*cking awesome man! I use SolidWorks and AutoCAD but I've never done any assemblies with that much detail. Put that sh*t on a resume and go get paid.

That screenshot I posted is for a penthouse overlooking the Las Vegas strip, the 26th floor of the Panorama building, Tower 1. We are in the process of turning the space into the 3D model I created.
We tried to use AutoCAD, but the free from shapes were trouble some. So I jumped ships and learned a new program on the fly. So far so good. I still use AutoCAD to size all the parts and create detail sheets for manufacturing.
Cool program, I have never heard of it. I use Newtek Lightwave pretty heavily for my work, creating finished renderings for Architecture.

Could possibly be a daft question but you totally design the entire house down to minute detail, then what? take the client on sort of a virtual tour of the property before building gets the go ahead?
Do you do it alone? how long does it take to do a complete house?
I do that shit for my job using Autocad and Solidworks, but like JD, no where near that amount of detail. Then again, my job is the design and testing of laboratory valves and faucets for R&D labs and college science labs. As you can imagine, there aren't many details like in an architecture model.
The OP is still awesome, the amount of time it takes to learn to model effectively and accurately is nothing to be laughed at, and his attempt looks great.

I use AutoCAD for 2D facility layouts mostly. Sometimes for designing or modifying machine parts as well. I use SolidWorks more and more now because it's useful to present/convey information with a 3D model. SolidWorks makes it easy to generate a 2D print for manufacture based on the part models so it works better to have a 3D model most of the time.
