I thought the same when I saw it in the comparo with the new model in M/C trader. I've seen lots of images of Japanese models & haven't seen that colour scheme. I expect it is original, but I'll be interested in the verdict. I don't like it as much anyway.

That is an odd one, it has lots to say it is an '85 (GR71F, correct fairings, correct JDM warning lights, 85 JDM exhaust, swingarm, R on tank etc) but it also has CV carbs and a not quite right '87 paint scheme. I have seen this or another one like this for sale some time ago on ebay, but the ad doesn't mention it is 'all original', so I'm thinking it's been repainted and this, to my knowledge, is only a close proximity of the '87 OEM paint scheme (1100).

I'd have to agree with ozboy. The paint scheme echoes '87 750/1100 (750 Japan)... although the design of the mid-fairings/upper cowl say '85.

I say the same, there is no evidence that this scheme was ever offered in 85. In 86 yes, but not in 85.
