Big end studs and cylinder studs?
Hi everyone, I'm the new kid on the block. I am a 21 year old head mechanic and I ride a K2 750, the bike is currently under a full ground up build. I have chosen the turbo rout and would like to achieve 350 ATW although 300HP is a little more realistic, but hey dreams are free.
The motor has had the guts removed and replaced with Carrillo H-beam rods, Wiseco custom made STD bore pistons and 1000 INT cam with 750 INT for the EXH side of things. The build was flying along until it came time to drop in a few studs. I have heard of people using the 1K case and cylinder studs on the K1-K3 750's with some modification of the studs, i cant seem to find any info on how to get the studs to fit. Can any one point me in the right direction?
Also last week i heard about using ceramic big end bearings in the Gixxers, this is a first i have heard about ceramic bearings...any info on these would be much appreciated.
