Impact of Throttle Position Sensor adjustment
Hi,
I just resolved the "herky jerky" issue I had by adjusting the TPS, moving the indicator (-C00) until it just moved into the top selection.
The beast has been tamed and everything is smooth through the range.
A couple of weeks ago I had a power commander III custom map created so I am now wondering how much this adjustment would have impacted on the custom map and if it would make enough difference to justify getting another map created?
I am also unsure what other impacts this change would have.
Is there any type of problem associated with moving the indicator to the top posing
-Run Richer?
-Less fuel economy?
-Excellerated wear or failure of parts (Fouling plugs etc)?
The issue occurred when riding at low speeds and when rolling off the throttle in top gear there was a point at around 4k rpm where I think the injectors were cutting in and out.
