This is for electric bikes though, but i could imagine better throttle controle and no unexpected throttle when leaning, braking with front brake, going over bums etc.

Other's have said this is stupid...

IT IS! but let me explain why.
Motorcyclists, especially here, pride themselves on "Throttle Control". If an IOM TT guy can hit bumps, go air born, etc. and still maintain throttle control, then so can most of us going half the speed!

Well, stop running over bums and it shouldn't be an issue. As already mentioned, throttle control/muscle memory is the key. Which is one of the many reasons starting on a non-RR bike is recommended. What makes this even more stupid is that one of the most popular mods is an R6 or an R1 throttle tube that shortens the rotation needed for throttle which requires even better throttle control.

That's why I've never bothered with one, especially on a road bike!!!
Fuck those bums, always laying on the sidewalk when we want to ride on it. I'm glad Sam came out in favor of running them over.
Wait, what? I told him to stop running over bums, especially if it causes throttle control issues. He should start small, like puppies and orphans and work his way up to bums.

I mostly grip where that would be with index and thumb in a pinch style, but that would be annoying as FUCK and likely would HURT throttle control as your palm tries to grip the stationary part while you try to modulate the throttle. It would be like someone trying to hold your hand still while you try to rotate it.
you Manchester guys must have some high class bums. Here they drink shit called Steele Reserve and Hurricane that costs 99 cents for 24ozer.
I gotta get over there for some free bum beer, Im hitting a couple a day on my way to work anyway.

Ironically, my ~20 year old 2 stroke suzuki dirt bike stock had the shorter turning throttle I had to add to the GSXR.
