Ok, well its getting cold and rainy here in TN so I need to get ready to store it for the winter I suppose. I need bike stands and would definitely like to get Pitbull, but there are pretty expensive and kinda overkill for right now since I will be using the stands mainly for storage and maintenance.
I searched the forum and google and have seenpretty good reviews on the front and rear set from Mjmotogear.com, just that the rear stand could've been made better. Anyway I'm just wondering since most people who have the mjmotogear stands have probably had them for awhile now and wanted some feedback on long term use, and whether or not you recommend them.
So, you probably read my title and were like man, how is a guy a tool with a bike stand, did he install them wrong and drop it? No, sorry guys hate to disappoint you (gee thanks)! I was about to order the stand set with a coupon code and realized something, they are located here in Chattanooga, TN . So I would just like some feedback on them or if I should just fork over the money for a Pitbull rear stand and get a front later. I will probably drive down there and take a look at them this weekend.
i bought their front stand and was very happy with it. for the price, you cant beat it and i had no quality issues with the stand months down the road.
I have been using MJmotogear rear and headlift stands at the track and at home for about 2 years now. I have sat in my garage hanging off the bike practicing body position, used them for track use and maintenance on both my bikes. Solid stand, especially for the price. I just recently bought a pitbull stand for the track, but only because I found a great deal on one. I still use my MJmoto stand for my street bike when it is not in use.
The only thing I might do to improve the stand would be to weld the lower pieces to the upper piece to make it a little more stable, but its definitely not needed.

I've had my MJMotogear stands for a little over a year now as well. I have had no issues with them, boh front and rear. They seem stable when on both, my back stand actually kinda locks into place, no wobbling. Not even rust on them and I have left the bike on them overnight a few times (covered) and still no issues.

Are you not suppossed to leave them on the stands? i thought that was the norm during the winter to put them up on the stands and leave them to avoid flat spots my bike lives on my stands when im not using it i think the past two weeks its been on my motod stands with no problem
My track bike has no kickstand. It stays on the stands unless I am riding it or its in the trailer, except for this one time at the track, when I wasnt riding it and it wasnt on the stand. It was laying in the grass and I was standing behind a gaurdrail

Mine decides to take a nap like that sometimes too.
