Wheelie good idea?

Hey,

I have heard that the k6 onwards 750 wheels are lighter than my k2 wheels. Is this true and by how much?

I know the front wheel would fit in but would the rear?

P.S is it worth fitting the 1K titanium headers aswell, or is this more cosmetic than tangible benefit?

wheels are lighter and should fit the 1000 wheel is 6 inches, so stick with the 600/750 wheels if u want the same size., and i think 01-06 1k headers are mostly for the better exhaust choices, and it probably saves some weight too.

do a search for all this crap, im about to do the wheel swap and the cam swap on my bike (2000 750) and ive asked one person a question thru pm about a specific thing and thats it, because alllll the info is already been answered and addressed on here. just gotta search for it bro

1000 headers are titanium so lighter and better finish. They drop lower that the 600/750 ones though and foul the underside of the fairing. So fit correctly you'd need to cut the fairing slightly around the sump area.

I'd love titanium headers but i've looked after the fairings and don't want to butcher !!
