1k 750 - fuel pump fuse keeps blowing : Suzuki GSX-R Motorcycle Forums: Gixxer.com

Hello everyone! Just picked up a 01 GSXR750 that was wrecked from a friend and had been sitting for 2 years.

As indicated in the title, everytime I turn on the key the fuel pump does not prime AND the fuel pump fuse blows. The pump does not even act as tho its trying to prime. With a test light, I have checked and there is power going into the fuel pump plug and coming out of the fuel pump plug. Heck, I have even probed the wires going into the fuel pump itself and i have power to the wires at that point also.

I have tried to hard wire the fuel pump straight from the battery and the pump still doesn't run. That is taking into consideration that I am hard wiring it correctly. Any information on straight wiring the fuel pump would be appreciated.

Any help is appreciated and I am sorry for being all over the place, but I am about to blow a noodle from messing with this bike all day and still haven't made any progress.
