Hello from a new member ... RG, RZ/RD
Greetings all,
I am a new member to this forum. I came across it while looking for restoration tips especially Suzuki. That's why I'm here.
I have 2 1986 RG 500 Gamma's. One is a runner and the other is a basket-case.
The same for 2 Yamaha 1985 RZ/RD 500's.
You may have guessed correctly if you thought I was from Canada.
Ultimately I'd love to have 1 beautifully restored example of each.
I am here for your knowledge and if I can share any of what little I have along the way I would be elated.
I love this hobby, I just need to learn so much more about it.
Nice to meet you fellow enthusiasts.
Jason

Welcome, I just searched your bike and like what I see. Definitely post pictures soon--it's great to see "before" and "after" transformations.
Enjoy your way around the GDC and always wear your gear including in here.

Haha ... OK 1 st is the RG runner ... 2nd should be the RG and RZ runners ... 3rd should be basket-case RG ... hope this works.

Basket Case...literally what she is! I love it!
Now comes the fun part for you. Keep GDC posted on your accomplishments.

Wow! How things change/improve on design. Compare the changes between 1986 and 2000.

Yeah, that's it! I was looking at the choke switch as well as the other switches.
Comparing that year vs my 2000. I wish my riding would have started back when I graduated HS.

Mine looks like a dirty dog compared to your pic. Oh well ... one day she'll be all purdy
