new project launch!! AHRMA Gen 2 superbike

Hi guys and gals,
I have made the decision to put my long term 86 gsxr 7/11 ultimate project aside and dive into full ahrma superbike that will push the limits of there rule book.
attached are pictures of my parts stash that will make my 1989 gsxr 750rr superbike replica .

Re: new project launch!! AHRMA Gen 2 superbike

parts needed..
airtech intake ducts and front air grabbers
seat pad and bum stop
41mm fcr's
rr gas tank any condition or ill make my own from scratch
tachometer
titanium engine mounting hardware
titanium rear axle and swing-arm pivot axle
43 mm clipons

Re: new project launch!! AHRMA Gen 2 superbike

Do those yokes have an adjustable offset?

I think fcr41 are to big for a 750 motor unless its tuned to the max

Re: new project launch!! AHRMA Gen 2 superbike

Those yosh yokes u mentioned are trail/ offset adjustable .
The AHRMA rule book says 2mm overbore is alloyed so the engine is going to be near 800cc with 14.5.1 compression .
I have run 41fcr carbs on 825cc 76mm bore engines in the past with great results.. my old 825 put down 136hp with only 12.5.1 compression so this engine will be a screamer for sure.

Don't expect show stopper here .. its just smarter for me to purchase an English wheel than it is to buy some rare piece of history .
If i can find a dented one for reasonable money i'll buy it.

Re: new project launch!! AHRMA Gen 2 superbike

there was a all sanded up orignal RK tank that sold on Ebay last year for $1300.00,,,so even if they are beat up,,,they're still stupid money,,,if you can master metal beating,,,you can a nice chunk of money for yourself,,,

Nice built... but I think someone needs a Red R before soliciting for parts needed...

I will be getting that Red R soon..
besides that was no attempt at soliciting ..
I have no problem finding what I need, or making it if i cant find it.
I'll take photos along the way and do a build thread once the machine is completed stay tuned .

Yes, I'm using Carrillos in my short stroke track bike engine (it's going into a Gen1). I was lucky enough to find a set on this site (original Yosh parts) for a very fair price. I also had special JE pistons made.

Re: new project launch!! AHRMA Gen 2 superbike

sweet!! are u gonna race that thing with ahrma ? it would be awesome to have more gixxer oilcooled guys on the grid at corsa moto classica .. this way we can help them understand that in 88 Doug Polen raced the ex Schwntz 87 bike.
Anders Anderson had ohlins inverted forks in 1988.

My rods and crank just arrived today.. I will be sending them to Carrillo to be refurbished .
