Shipping a bike

I am looking to buy a bike from Meredith, NH and I want to ship it to Chicago,IL.I am currently trying to get quotes from uship but the cheapest one was $625. I found this website but I don't know if it is legit

If anyone have experience with motorcycle shipping please let me know.

Thank you

Re: Shipping a bike

I've done it, it's not cheap, especially for longer trips. Random website - probably wouldn't trust. Ebay motorcycle auctions have a couple decent, semi-reputable shippers on the shipping tabs.

Re: Shipping a bike

I dont think you tip them. I believe a lot of the shippers on that site are self-employed, so all the money you pay them goes to them. No reason for a tip.

Re: Shipping a bike

I just shipped mine through Shipping masters from cali to texas for $595. It made it in like 7 days and it was in great condition. I didn't tip the guy. it didn't even really occure to me. haha it can be expensive but if you are getting a good enough deal on the bike go for it.

Re: Shipping a bike

I've used uship several times and have shipped other bikes using uship. Only tip I ever saw happen was when the person I was delivering to was 2 hours late to meet me to get his bike. Nice tip, but he was obviously loaded with money by seeing his residence and how many bikes+cars he owned.

Confuses vag for cock... That would be "cock" as in rooster. Which might be even worse. And takes more duct tape to avoid a damn mess. Has lead to interesting nights.

Re: Shipping a bike

This is an old thread, but for those that ay need the info, here ya go....

Keyboard Motorcycle shipping. Considered in the industry to be the best, they even have an exclusive contract with Harley-Davidson (that's a big account). I have used them twice, and they do an astounding job. I shipped from MN to upstate NY for $450 and from NY to Miami for $500.

They have an exclusive dolly that they developed, they can strap it down and move it anywhere, in any position, spin it around and everything without risk to the bike.
