I just hope they'll be able to agree to terms soon so that this year's Winter Classic between the Leafs/Wings will still be played. If not, just cancel the rest of the entire regular season/playoffs and resolve the issues well in advance of the 2013-2014 season.

i got all excited last night when looking thru the comcast guide and seeing detroit vs columbus at 8pm on FSD. turned it on, started watching it thinking woo hoo the wings are back. then 10 mjins into the game i finally notice those horrible words in the upper right corner "REPLAY".

damn bastards tricked me. lol

fuck 'em. the only difference between the NHL and the minor leagues is that the NHL was televised. sure they were basically the best hockey players in the world, but quality hockey is just as abundant elsewhere. i have seen NHL games in at least 10 different venues, and i sincerely enjoy watching a junior "A" game more. GO OIL KINGS!

There is other hockey to watch, but it just isn't the same. Way it looks now is we will lose the whole season. Again.

Not a lot in the states, but in the NW US we're lucky since we have five WHL teams and the longest drive is six hours from Portland.

Down goes the winter classic. Leafs still manage to lose a game even when there isn't a season.

i think its everyone who looses. especially the businesses who sorta depend on the hockey action for increased revenue during the winter months. i usually go to about 5 wings reg season games, and 2+ play-off games.

oh well, hopefully there WILL be a next season.
