What's your Opinion on the new ARAI & SHOEI 2013 HELMET LINE-UP : Suzuki GSX-R Motorcycle Forums: Gixxer.com

We had our Shoei distributor Rep stop by showing us some new 2013 helmets. Even though new is usually cool, we were sorta Underwhelmed with new graphics on the upcoming helmets from Shoei, Arai etc.

Seems a few years back, the graphics were really rocking and it was hard to choose.
Now it seems not so much, and the graphics are just running together and bland, except for a few Replicas.

What do you guys think. ?

And, what's your take on the new "matte" Colors? They say they are for Weight savings by not having 2 coats of clear on top. But, it seems more like Cost Savings.

All but the 1st Shoei look a little retro
I like the 1st Arai but your right they are all very plain and boring

They (both Arai and Shoei) look like the lower end models.

All those Shoei's are RF-1100's.

I'll be replacing my old RF-1000 in a couple months. I'm just going to buy the cheapest 2012 leftover solid color RF-1100 I can find.

Keep in mind it's not All they have but some examples of the ones we have seen.
The Shoei is their RF1100 and the Arai is Signet Q.

RF 1100 is not too bad. I had the RF 1000 and I liked it.

I wish Shoei would do some more rep models from their riders. Finally there is a Marquez helmet, but I think it looks pretty whack. What about getting McGuinness reps in the USA? Saw a Tomizawa rep one here in NZ, but I didn't see any on STG

But then I see a lot of the riders are just running sponsor stuff all over their helmets now, so not much point doing that

I'm starting to hate my rf1100 . Front vent let in too many debris, shit is always fly in in my eyes, I just ride with it shut nowadays.

Wish they incorporated a screen that's removable for cleaning.

That would be a slick idea.

Even if it was a piece of foam, that you could pull out and clean.

They aren't bad , but they're also not great. I was looking for a blue shoei helmet and decided to purchase the older style rf1100.

I really like the matte finishes but the designs leave a bit to be desired. Same goes with the new bell RS-1 models too
