1991 GSXR 750 Trackday build

I figured I'd start a thread on my bike build. Bike is my weekend ride and track day bike. The motor needed to be rebuilt and body was getting a lil beat up. So I decided to pull the motor and strip the bike totally down. I replaced all the bearings clean everything up. I also bought a new airtec body for the bike. The bikes suspension is in need of rebuilding. Plans are to send the stock forks out to Dylan at central coast suspension. In the rear of the bike I have an 08 gsxr 1000 shock. Im still debating going with a 08 gsxr 1000 forks and making new triple trees.

Over the weekend I got the stock 91 forks back on the bike to do some mock up and also the swing arm back in.

Yesterday I rough machined a new adjustable upper shock mount. here are a few pictures from the weekend.

I have to work on the bike out in the shelter because my car is taking up the whole shop...

The motor is 1mm over ported head with a web cam. Ill be running stock 38mm carbs for now and stock ignition.

Holy turbo, what is that a garrett or a holset? You gonna run it on the street like that without a filter? Do you have it welded right to the endtank on the intercooler or is that just an optical illusion? Where's the blow off on that system, no need? What are you using for engine management, a standalone of some sort? How in the hell do you get enough air in that location to feed the turbo AND keep the temps down on the rad, oil cooler, and intercooler...?

Sorry for the 20 questions, interesting setup, I'd like to see it in action.

The cars not a street car I use it for hill climbs and time attack. There is a silicone hose connecting the turbo to the intercooler. The car has no need for a blow off valve as I'm running drive by wire and anti lag. which off throttle keeps the boost around 20 psi. Engine is run off a Vipec ECU. The car is set up totally different now. I had ducting from the bumper to the rad and coolers. and the air filter sucked from its own vent.

Car is a full tube chassis now

Re: 1991 GSXR 750 Trackday build

Bike is 90% back together. Only things really left are body work and few wiring changes. Rebuilt and re-sprung the forks due to the seals leaking pretty bad. I also replaced the bushings in the fork and upper cartridge bushing.

Cut the hole for the head light this weekend in my fairing for the street.

I love the bike!

I have a 1991 gsxr 750 motor that I'm about to rebuild.

Did you rebuild the motor stock?

Here is a quick video of it running with the slip on off after the cams were broken in. Hope to take it to the dyno next week to tune it.
