Yoshi exhaust question

Ok, I just purchased an R55 slip-on for my 08 600 from ebay. I got the exhaust and the can looks almost brand new...not a scratch. I was very impressed. So, I get ready to put it on, and yea there is no mounting bracket. I contacted the guy and he said he can't find it, sorry, all that...so, my question is.....does anyone know where I can find a mounting bracket??? Any help would be great. Thanks

Re: Yoshi exhaust question

yea, other than yoshi directly...i know I could go through them, but it's gonna be like $65 or so. Anyone know where I could possibly get one other than straight from Yoshi?

Re: Yoshi exhaust question

If it was me, I would make one. But that is me. If you have the materials/skills, it really wouldn't be to much of a hassle.

$65 or waste your time hunting for a deal?! C'mon... you have an exhaust sitting in your lap, what's another $65? Save maybe $20 and all that hassle by searching around town?

Re: Yoshi exhaust question

yea I know, but I'm sure anyone else would at leastlook a day or two before calling Yoshi...besides it was over the weekend and I couldn't call them until today anyway, lol...which I plan on doing when they open. I was just trying to save a dollar or two if someone happened to have one.
Also, did think of making one, just not sure how hard it'll be.
If I order one from Yoshi, is it gonna hurt to leave the pipe on till it is shipped to me?

Re: Yoshi exhaust question

I would suggest that until you can fit it properly, you just leave it alone. I'm guessing you weren't suggesting you used the bike with the Yoshi not quite fitted?! Good, glad we cleared that up.

i feel your pain. I had my exhaust ordered in the past and had it sit in my garage for a week before I did the install.

if you really want to save money and have free time with a drill and dremel, go buy a bracket at a hardware store and make your own.
