Well, at the moment I have a '98 SRAD 750. And just a few weeks ago I got a new job that suits me perfect - a salesman at a Suzuki/BMW motorcycle dealer here in Norway This of course also gives some advantages when it comes to parts etc - and bikes. So I now have the chance to get an extremely good price on a 2011 GSX-R 750. The more I think about it, the more certain I get I'll have to take the deal But of course, then I'll have to sell the SRAD...
Re: Hmm. I actually might have to leave you guys..
new bike one can never say thats a bad thing but my srad is old and not so pretty so i can do with it as i please.. a new bike would be all shiny and stuff. i would be scared to breath on it. then it would get its first rash and i would be heart broken then it would fall to the same level of the srad!!
Re: Hmm. I actually might have to leave you guys..
Unfortunately I can't afford to keep both bikes. Will cost too much with insurance, road tax etc here in Norway, as I also have two cars (and loan on my apartment). But I'll find out during this week if the SRAD will be swapped out or not
Re: Hmm. I actually might have to leave you guys..
Hmm. I find it harder to decide than I would have thought... There are definately pros and cons on both bikes. An advantage with the SRAD is that it's not that much money "tied" to one thing if you know what I mean. I also plan on doing some trackdays this summer, and I risk far less if I end up crashing with the SRAD than a 2011 model. And I will most probably be less afraid of crashing, and have more fun.
On the other side the 2011 IS 13 years newer. And I would think that at least something happened in those year. Still haven't tested the 2011 myself though. Won't have the chance until March. What do you guys think (or is that a stupid question )??
Re: Hmm. I actually might have to leave you guys..
Thinking of what to do every day, but the more I think of it the more I lean towards keeping the SRAD. I really like the bike for some reason! I will still be able to ride the L1 sometimes even if I don't buy it now..
Re: Hmm. I actually might have to leave you guys..
Good luck with your decision. I've found my SRAD impossible to walk away from. That's why I'm still riding it after 11 years! One of these days I'll finally buy myself something newer, but even then the SRAD will definitely be staying around.
There are always new bikes but if you get rid of your SRAD you'll never get it back.
Just keep till you are in a position to have both or (knock on wood) you wreck it.

Thanks. It's much harder than I thought!
