Tech N9ne. I only listen to it when I ride. Some metal is alright to but I hate varying tempo when I ride to music, and rock is alot of up and down. Tech nina just always goes hard. As for the music being distracting, thats bs. At least for me I'm way more focused with a good tune on. It keeps the mind from daydreaming if you are reciting a tune
Tech N9NE is easily my favorite artist. Always nice to see another supporter
To whoever is saying that music is distracting while you're riding... That's only partially true. Certain genres of music have been proven to help one concentrate on any given thing (i.e. riding). FWIW, my pitching coach plays classical music every time I work out with him. It blew my mind the first time he put it on, but I can actually see how it's helped me progress since I started with him.
"Good music" is always in the eyes of the beholder. Different strokes for different folks; so while I enjoy listening to a certain type of music while I'm riding, that doesn't mean that you would like the same thing! That being said, I just put on a playlist and go. Don't really care what comes on; half the time I don't even realize what I'm listening to.

This year I'm putting together a playlist that will have a lot of STP, and Audioslave, some Johnny Cash, Nine Inch Nails, some Skinny Puppy, I may even throw in some Genitorturers for fun.
Daft Punk did an awesome job with that. I've never listened to music when I ride, but I'm probably going to next time to see how I like it. TRON just might be in the playlist.
Electronic music on the long boring rides...have a tendency to speed though. Flux Pavilion, Armin, Tiesto, Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, PVD, Deadmau5, etc...
