What kind of projector did u use? Im thinking of doing this over the winter. Was it a pain to get the projector lined up so it points to where you want the light on the road?

Morimoto Mini H1

For alignment you use the standard up/down and left/right adjusters on the rear of the headlight

the bixenon solenoid is tapped into the OEM highbeam connector

here is when I was testing it in my back garden, taken with a PAS camera

wow a hid kit that actually works as its supposed to. looks great.
all the morons should learn to do this instead of buying a hid kit and throwing it in a stock housing and blinding everyone on the road and looking retarded at the same time

only thing i would have done diff. is keep the housing chrome. even though painted doesnt effect the light much with the projector but anyways nice job looks killer

black looks a million times better than chrome

@jay24k - the spread is difficult to describe. I can say on a 3 lane highway that you can see a lot, and the roadsigns are clearly lit.
I bought the projector from theretrofitsource.com

Re: Suzuki GSX-R600 K6 bixenon projector retrofit

I went for the mini graphite shroud, which is the smallest one.

however, you will never be able to get the shroud + projector into the sealed headlight, without actually cutting the back of the reflector to make it sit deeper, and then you run into issues with the clocks/gauge cluster.

I ended up getting a hard black plastic cup and cutting my own shroud

Re: Suzuki GSX-R600 K6 bixenon projector retrofit

that sucks. theres no other way to make the shroud fit by cutting it down some on the back end?

Re: Suzuki GSX-R600 K6 bixenon projector retrofit

not from my experience.

the issue is the distance from lense of the projector to the headlight cover, it is at most 5mm when sealed shut, less once you have done alignment. the shroud is adding at least 1cm of OD to the projector
