83 octane vs. 93 octane and c12 50/50 with 93

so i was at the track the other day and asked the guy nexted to me if he recommends straight super or vp(c12) 50/50 with super. thought id ask since he looked like he knew what he was doing.and he told me dont waste money on that junk and run regular unleaded but do a injector cleaner when transferring for super to unleaded. i wanna hear some input from yah.

heres the thing, unless your bike is tuned to take advantage of higher octane fuel it wont make a difference, in fact it may hurt performance. pump gas you may not see much of a difference but with race gas you wont burn it properly and itll hurt power. realistically once you get into race gas you should bump the compression and timing to take advantage of it. thats what ive learned from serious racers and tuners. so in the big picture, race gas smells nice but unless youre set up for it it wont do anything and may hurt power

Manual says run 91 in the 1000. So run 91 in the 1000.

Manual says run 87 in the 600. So run 87 in the 600.

Put it to you this way. If your bike NEEDED something other than what the manual stipulates.....you more than likely would be knowledgeable enough to know about it already unless you stole someone's race tuned engine and made it your own.
