My new 750 arrives on Tuesday and I have the pleasure of the engine breaking process to go through. Want to do this with petroleum based engine oil rather then synthetic oil. Can anyone tell me what type of engine oil Suzuki engine ship with?
or is it something that the garage does as part of the bike prep?
Re: What kind of engine oil do new Suzukis come with
the oil the suzukis come with are made for breaking in the engine, use it while breaking youre engine in and then change it and filter. i use motul 300v factory line 10w40. no problems whatsoever in my racebike.
Re: What kind of engine oil do new Suzukis come with
They do not come with anything in them
The shop will put standard 10-40 suzuki petro based oil.
I usually flush that out before I ever run it, just to carry out small bits of metal left in the bottom of the engine. Then I put non synth 10-40 back in, run it for 100ish mi, then change it to synth and ride...The break in is done in the first 100mi.

Things have changed then.
Used to be they could not ship them with oil in them. They came with no fuel, coolant, or engine oil. They also didnt have the windscreen, mirrors, clipons, or front tire on.
