Exclamation Please help c28 code need to fix

Hey guys im getting a c28 code and dont know what I need to do to fix it. I did some research and found out what it is but dont know how to check it. I was having a different unrealted issue a couple days ago and one of my buddies was looking over some stuff unplugging and pluging in stuff under the tank im not sure if the he may have left something unplugged or what. I wasnt able to get my bike to start previously with the other issue and we were looking and testing everything it was something that I did wrong, when I put the clutch cover gasket in I put the guts of the cover on wrong and it wouldnt start so its something unrelated. I was finally able to figure out the problem yesterday and fixed it the bike starts now but is def in limp mode and is shooting the f1 code checked it and it is c28 anyone have any idea if I can check this or how or where it is or anything im kinda new to working on my bike and im trying to learn but from what I read it seems very costly to replace the part. Any way something may just be unpluged or in wrong?

Check the service manual for testing procedures. Make sure the problem is with the STVA and not the wiring before you spend money on it.

Re: Please help c28 code need to fix

Don't have a manual unfortunately so don't have anything to refer to, found something on another forum that says to lift the tank remove the air box and turn the key to the on position the valves should open then close 95% when i do that they don't open at all idk if this is right or i should be doing something else (the bike runs but like poop i feel like im on a katana)

Check the connector at the STVA to make sure it is actually plugged in.

Re: Please help c28 code need to fix

Had the same prob last month. TheGeek has a guide to fixing it yourself somewhere on this forum. I think the topic was Throttle Body From Hell? Something along those lines you can probably search for it. I followed the guide and haven't had a problem since. It's really a pretty simple fix if it comes down to the STVA being the problem.
