First streetbike from dirt

Purchased my first rocket today. A 2004 gsxr-600 with 8600 miles on it. It needs a little body work but mechanically it is sound(as far as I know, haha) Rode motocross since I was 10, had to sell all my bikes to buy a car, until now so far Im really happy with it, but I will probably raise the bike back up to stock height or close to it because the lowering link appears to be adjustable.

here's a picture, still dirty. the bottles are there for removing these silly pink famous stars and straps symbols that someone spray painted all over the bike.

Re: First streetbike from dirt

thanks guys. I also got a pretty nice Arai signet gt with it, but its fitting too tight. its a size small, but I heard I can make it fit a little better with different cheek pads. right now it has 25mm pads in it, and im wondering which direction I need to go for a "looser" fit? they range from 12-35mm.

how much too small is it? they fit looser with time. unless it hurts to wear it, just let it break in a bit.

Well the helmet was used for a little over 1000miles so I assume its already been broken in. Its barable, but I can tell If I go for a longer ride, I will be coming home with a headache.

Re: First streetbike from dirt

yeah, haha its not straight. I used to have a ~145db sound system in the stang, and it was detrimental to the health of my trunk.
